ROCKFORD, IL - People of all ages, visit Discovery Center July 4 and 5 for two BOOMING days of family fun during KABOOM! Experience chemistry, physics, art and music and how they all relate to our most explosive national holiday from 11:00 pm to 3:30 pm both days.
Glow lights, rockets, sparkles and flags! Strut your stars and stripes as science and art join hands for this 2-day patriotic celebration. Construct light and sound creations and assemble a red, white, and blue masterpiece. We’ll experiment with explosions, launch mini rockets, and more! Dress to get wet: if the weather is nice, we'll have an old-fashioned water balloon toss!
KABOOM! is sponsored by Viking Chemical and a grant from the Illinois Arts Council Agency. All activities are included with museum admission - $9/person; free to Discovery Center members and children age 1 and younger.
